About Mr. Matson
Mr. Matson is a native of Baird, TX. He graduated from Texas Tech with a BA in History and from Pepperdine with a MA in Human Resources Management. He earned his teaching certficate from Texas A & M Corpus Christi. He is certified to teach secondary history and composite social studies. He retired from the US Navy in 1997 after a 22 year USAF/USN career. He has been teaching for 11 years, the last two at BRCS. He is married to the former Ginger Pate of Ft. Worth and they have a 22 year old son, Bobby, who is a student at the University of Texas at Arlington.
